D2000 Confined Space Training
The main objective of this course is to
teach students how to comply with the provisions of their location's written
Confined Space program as defined by Federal and provincial regulations.
The essential elements of this program include:
-
- Identifying the location's Confined Spaces.
- Assessing hazards within these Confined Spaces and
identifying those that are permit-required Confined Spaces.
- Establishing work policies and procedures to manage
those hazards
- acquiring the safety equipment (eg. gas monitors,
respirators, harnesses, retrieval lines) need to follow safe work policies
and procedures.
This course is not designed to provide skills needed
to enter Confined spaces that are immediately dangerous to life and health.
However, we do have a Confined Space Rescue course that does provide these
skills.
